Funding

Voice Arts Trust currently has no core funding. At times our delivery partners will have designated arts/education funds available for project work. Otherwise we seek funding on a per project basis, once a need has been identified and a course of action agreed upon.

Project Cost Information

Voice Arts employs the services of skilled, trained and experienced facilitators to guide each workshop.

For groups numbering six or less, one facilitator is employed. For groups six and over, or for any project involving volatile young people within a closed community setting (prison, youth unit, et al) two facilitators will be employed.

Projects conducted in a school or educational facility, where a teacher can be present during sessions, one facilitator is employed for groups numbering under 20.

Facilitator cost: $65 per hour (facilitators are also paid one hour of preparation per workshop.)

When required, we utilise the services of other skilled artists whose experience could benefit the group (visual artists, dancers, music therapists and multi-media professionals).

Additional artist cost: $45 per hour.

Expenses: Facilitators working within the Wellington City, Western and Eastern suburbs are expected to cover their own travel costs.  Facilitators working in Porirua, Petone or The Hutt will travel in one vehicle and the owner will be reimbursed appropriately,

Administration: Voice Arts charges a 10% administration fee for each project. A full set of accounts is presented at the end of each project, along with detailed session plans and a project evaluation.

Evaluation: At the end of each project, participants are asked to complete a standard Voice Arts Evaluation Form.  Further evaluation, involving an independent third party is offered at an additional cost. Please discuss your needs with us.

Materials:  A minimum budget of $50 is required to cover basic workshop stationary: paper, pens, markers, etc. We also supply and encourage the use of journal keeping throughout the project and where required, supply refreshments for participants in any workshop session stretching over two hours.  Please discuss appropriate funding for your needs.

Production Costs:  Often our projects culminate in the public sharing of a piece of original work created by the participants.  This can be a very simple low cost event with little or no props / costumes etc.  It can also involve staging, lights, catering and invitations.  Please discuss the appropriate funding for your needs.
